Welcome!

SCALLOPS network, support and advance sustainability groups in towns and neighborhoods all over Puget Sound. Through outreach, education and community-building programs, we facilitate the cross-pollination of best practices, inspire and nurture new groups, trouble-shoot and solve challenges, and mobilize action on behalf of regional sustainability.

Annual Report 2012

The accomplishments of SCALLOPS in 2011 are breathtaking in scope and creativity. Some actions are tiny – trading seeds or planting a rooftop garden at a housing project. Some are large – Barter Fairs or Tool Libraries. Here are a few. All are significant.

SCALLOPS projects joyfully try to meet the criteria of being place-based, carbon negative, and financially sustainable – meeting basic human needs of food, shelter, transportation, arts or trade while honoring earth as the source of all life.

The future looks bright.
